Another increase in LPG prices is expected

After the price of LPG was raised for the third time in a week, the Chairman of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) announced a crackdown on inflated LPG sellers.

On Saturday, Ogra issued a circular to all chief secretaries directing them to take strong action against anyone selling LPG at a price lower than the authorised price.

According to an Ogra spokesman, the Ogra chairman has written to all four chief secretaries, including the chief secretaries of Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK), and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

According to market sources, LPG is only accessible at inflated costs, and the price graph is growing, with the current price reaching Rs170 per kilogramme despite the lack of Ogra certification.
