Fans only approved by the Ministry of Science will be able to be sold in Pakistan
From the beginning of next year, only standard fans that have been authorized by the Ministry of Science will be permitted to be marketed throughout the pakistan.
According to the latest information, the government has made a significant move to lower the cost of power for the general public. Shibli Faraz, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, has stated that if the 100 million fans currently in use in the country are standardized in accordance with high technology, the country will save more than four billion dollars in electricity, equivalent to the savings from two Ghazi Brotha dams.
As a result, starting next year, only those wings will be marketed in the country that has been built in accordance with the requirements established by the Ministry of Science and Technology. According to the federal minister, a star grading system for fans will be implemented, which will allow the general public to understand which fans are more expensive.

In a statement issued earlier this month, Federal Minister Shibli Faraz stated that air conditioners and fans account for 60 to 65 percent of all electricity consumed during the summer months.
When fans are more energy-efficient, less electricity is consumed, and given that the market employs 80 million fans and that the amount of electricity consumed has been examined, it is appropriate to offer star ratings in the consumer market. Consumers should be aware of which Star One, Two, or fan they will purchase and which will save them the most electricity before making their purchase.
If a standard fan is used for 8 to 12 hours each day, it costs Rs. 950 per month. If you use a five-star rating system, the monthly bill that used to be Rs. 950 per month will now be Rs. 628, the Star Two bill will be Rs. 542, the Star Three bill will be Rs. and the rating five bill will be Rs 387. In addition to conserving electricity, if fans are built to this quality, they will save around 3400 MW of electricity. Saving electricity implies building two Ghazi Brotha Dams.
