Marla Gibbs is honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The bright Los Angeles heat on Tuesday, 20 July, overpowered Marla Gibbs, as the five-time Emmy nominee player receives a star at the Walk of Fame in Hollywood.

The 90-year-old Gibbs was most well-known to the public for their part as maid Florence Johnston in “the Jeffersons,” since the heat was becoming too high.

Gibbs’s family and ceremonial organisers ran to the platform before leaving the stage to help the actress.

Shortly thereafter, Gibbs returned to the event to provide interviews and pictures to media.

Legendary TV producer Norman Lear, who conceived and produced “The Jeffersons,” showed his support for Gibbs Tuesday and described him as a “beautiful lady.”

Gibbs was born in Chicago on June 14, 1931 to Margaret Theresa Bradley. After moving to Southern California, she chose to continue her career in acting in the early 1970s.
