Pakistan’s COVID-19 positive rating falls to 1.69 percent

The daily coronavirus positivity rate in Pakistan fell to 1.69% today, according to daily data released by the National Operations and Command Center ( NCOC). This is the lowest positive percentage recorded by the country in eight months.

The country last saw its lowest positive rate of 1.64% on October 18.

A sharp decline was also seen in the daily number of COVID-19 cases detected in Pakistan.

In the past 24 hours, 663 new infections have been identified and 27 people have died from the virus, according to the NCOC.

A total of 39,017 tests for COVID-19 have been performed in the past 24 hours, according to the NCOC.

The total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country so far stands at 22,034 and the total number of cases 949,838, while 894,352 people have so far recovered from the virus. The current number of active cases is 33,452.

The highest number of deaths occurred in Punjab in the last 24 hours, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Of the 27 deaths, 17 died because of fans.
