PIA suspends flights to Kuwait

In spite of the fact that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is permitted to operate in Pakistan, Kuwait’s Civil Aviation Authority has forbidden the airline from flying flights within the country, according to reports.

Flights to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Canada, Malaysia, Afghanistan, and other central Asian nations are now being operated effectively by the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

In addition, the national flag carrier has passed a safety audit conducted by Canadian transportation authorities and the International Air Transport Association with flying colors (IATA).

It has been revealed that two Kuwaiti airlines, Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways, have been operating in Pakistan; however, the kingdom has refused to allow the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to conduct flights.

Concerns have also been made about the actions of Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), which has been accused of failing to bring the situation to the attention of the appropriate authorities in the kingdom.
