Punjab Police would offer security for bank transactions up to Rs500,000 in Lahore

In a historic move, the police in Punjab have agreed to guarantee Lahore-based citizens protection in the amount of Rs500000, or more from ATMs or banks.

Lahore Police officer for Capital City, Ghulam Mehmood Dogar stated in a statement that individuals can call the police for safety by withdrawing a sum of RS500,000 or more from a bank or an ATM.

He added that the Lahore police had hijacked a group that was participating in robbing people outside banks and ATMs.
