The operation of Pak consulates in Afghanistan has yet to be stopped, says Envoy

Mansoor Ahmad Khan, the country’s ambassador to Afghanistan, said Pakistan has not chosen to stop operations in Afghanistan by Pakistan’s Consulates.

After an eight-day attack by the Taliban, which gained possession of the country’s second-largest city — Kandahar on Friday, Afghanistan’s administration almost lost authority over much of the country.

As Taliban progress approaches a total withdrawal of troops, it surprised the United States at the end of the month.

However, because of the security situation in the neighbouring nation, the Ambassador claimed the number of employees in the Pakistani consulates was decreased.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the ambassador stated, only online visas are given.

On Twitter’s website, Mansoor Ahmad Khan delivered this message.

Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan returned to the last month after Kabul’s envoy and top diplomats from Islamabad agreed to repatriate him, citing safety concerns.
